DREAMCORE is a very weird aesthetic that is invading the internet, specially at facebook groups and tik tok videos. At first look this can be something not serious and just for little kids. But is a true scene with something very artistic who take big influences from painting, collage and internet culture in general.
We can explain this visually as a mixture between surrealism, vaporwave and old video game pixel aesthetic.

For other part, musically, dreamcore doesn't have an specific style or sound. But have in common the use of dreamy atmospheres, distorted electronic effects, focused mainly in experimental, vapor drone, and witchy experimental beats. Also lo-fi, and weird pop songs.
Since 2021 the underground music platform: "Bandcamp" was the main hosting for artists inspired on dreamcore who use apart of the aesthetic in their artworks, a big inspiration mixing the previously mentioned genres.
So this 2022 we as blog decided create a TOP 10 just for fun, of albums (not Ep's/Singles) related to this very interesting and strange art movement. It's November and the year stills running. But we have our favorites now, then there's no time to loose. We hope next year make another, if the scene continue alive and creating new content.
