2020's Onwards Witch House Music???†▲░░†▲

Days ago an artist ask me: "why you continue making witch house and similar music compilations?" // "is not better just continue with your other experimental netlabel and forget that shitty dead genre?" //// My personal opinion about it is very simple. I wish continue making what i like, what i enjoy. No matter if don't have too much listeners or track submissions. Maybe say that witch house is alive in 2023 is just an irony. The old days of ritual occult music are gone. The days when soundcloud was full of free tracks and zombie rave mixes are totally dead.

What we have now??? hundred of youtube channels monetizing 1 hour mixes and twitch streamers asking donations at the expense of the others art. And the 90% of those artists sound exactly equal between each other, like use an uniform, without authenticy, without soul. Those kids turned the genre into something technical, like synthwave, like darkwave, some tracks sounds very good and also i like some of them. But...where is the atmospheric ritual, experimental noisy, screwed original witch house style?? where??? do you know why blvck ceiling sounds different to mater suspiria vision?? why how i quit crack sounds different to lake radio??? do you know it?? Because the true essence of this genre WAS become a witch yourself and create a coven with your music, make an interpretation of witchcraft and translate it into music.

FYI This never was a music style. Was an aesthetic art movement. Manifested on the cover artworks, in the titles of the songs using unicode texts, in the appearance of its artists, wearing burkas, hiding their faces. An occult artistic global scene.

.....And now with the arriving and popularity of normie and extremely commercial genres like wave, phonk, trap, deconstructed club and similars, the current producers mix all that creating this new post-witch house thing and accepting it as "WITCH HOUSE music". And all new listeners also confirm agree with that too......

But do you know something? Exist something called: "History". "The Start of an artistic form" // For more that this shitty posers try to hide what really WH is, they will never make it... Because internet is there for remember to them from where WH comes, from when WH starts (2008)....
