Interview with RDKPL (2026)

 

Sound recordings by Czech noisemaker since 1994.

Today we did a written interview to RDKPL, experimental noise artist from Czech.






- What is the meaning and the concept behind the name of your music project?

RDKPL - solo experimental music project by Radek Kopel based in the Czech republic. I do one take improvisations within border of noisounds.




- What equipment do you use for create music?

All created on various electronics, pedal effects, DIY metallic percussion units and DIY gear.



- Tell us a little biography about your project, when you started to make music? 

I was a member of Napalmed band in 1994-2014, member of Eine Stunde Merzbauten group in 2014 to 2024. Beside these two I recorded and perform alot also solo.



- Who are your main music and artistic influences? 

Not who, better say what. Art at all, from music to photography to books to paintings. Another unwanted influence is life itself.  




- What underground artists from the netlabel scene do you like?

I like to look for new artists, new sounds. Mostly hearable on strange compilations.



- Do you have some influence from your country in your music?

Yeah, Czech music for sure! Here are few to be named: Buty, Meat House Chicago I.R.A., Iva Bittová, Květy, Jan Spálený, C&K Vocal, Jiří Smrž, DG 307, and so on and on....



 - What is your favorite album/ep composed by you? And why?

No extra one to be picked up. At first I do various productions, also sound varied alot at second. 



- What are your preferred music platforms/websites? Why?

I mainly use BandCamp. Easy, fast and simple to use.


- Any funny anecdote in the composition of a track or an album?

The only silly, black, cheap humor including in my album titles. 






- Do you play live? How was the experience?

Not many possibilities to perform live, but I like it alot. 
Main difference from home studio is power and loudness of final sound.


- Any news for 2026?

Try to stay active, communicate with worldwide artists, do experiments with sound.


- Do you want to say anything else to your listeners?

Again I want send A BIG THANX to ALL fans, followers and anonymous listeners for spending their time on my recordings!
