-What is the meaning and concept behind the name of your music project?
Xm0rtal is named for the concept of going beyond life and into the future, it is a message to living after I am gone.
-what equipment do you use to create music?
I use a MacBook Pro and Ableton live mostly, I play an Arturia 88 key keyboard for the leads and many of the riffs and I have a lot of analog gear but only some of it makes it’s way into the songs I create.
-Biography
I began making music in 1993 in high school, and joined a few rock bands from then to 1997-98. I listened to Throbbing Gristle and decided I didn’t need to make music the regular way and started recording myself playing what synths I had and drum machines. I went through many DAWS and programs until I settled on Abelton around 2010. I have been putting out music from 1999 till now and in the last year I have joined a rock band and played several shows with them which has expanded my palette and given me more tools to express my self.
-Influences
I am influenced by many bands, Bowie, Bauhaus, The Beatles, Throbbing Gristle, The Velvet Underground, Blvck Ceiling, Skinny Puppy and Brian Eno.
-Underground net label bands
I like Barbeleth, on Lux Aura label, also Radio Vril (aka ▼HRIL Y▲) and many bands that are my friends. I have so many friends in the Witch House scene I lose track.

-local influence
Yes I incorporate many Texas styles, especially Houston trap sounds, Texas Funk in my Organ playing live and I collaborate with other Texas acts and play live shows in Austin with my rock band which performs many songs in Spanish . I also work with local rappers on beats.

-favorite EP composed by you?
My favorite is probably my Nudist Beach EP but I also really enjoy my Dungeon synth tracks and Witch House records, I have made so many over the years it is hard to choose!
-preferred platforms
Soundcloud, Bandcamp, YouTube and then live performance.
- Do you Play live?
I play live in a rock band, Fuzz Goblin, and I will play live as a solo act too in the future. I was worried about so anything’s but moving the gear is the hardest part!
- news for 2026?
I have many, many songs completed that are unreleased and I’m trying to get some funding from my city to make art. I am playing live keys and able to do things I wasn’t able to do just last year, and I am comfortable playing live now so look out for a few shows and maybe even merch and other cool things!
-message to the fans
I try to be accessible to you all and interact and I am very open to chatting with any fans of my music, I really appreciate my supporters!
